CO-ENZYMES: what is/are coenzymes?

-Co-enzymes are co-factors which are complex non-protein organic molecules covalently linked or loosely bonded or associated with an enzyme.
-Some serve as carrier molecules, which transfer chemical groups, atoms, small molecules, or electrons from one enzyme to another.
-Many of them are vitamins or derivatives of vitamins
-For example NAD, derived from vitamin B3 transfer hydrogen during cellular respiration
