FATE OF FATS IN DIGESTION

-Fats are chemical broken down in the small intestine by pancreatic lipids
-Pancreatic lipids convert fats into fatty acids and glycerol
-This enzymatic action is assisted by the salts from the gall bladder
-Intestinal juice also contains lipase which completes the digestion of fats into fatty acids and glycerol
-The product of fats is fatty acids and glycerol, which is absorbed in small intestine
-The product is then passed into the blood and provides energy for the body
