FEEDING IN PLANARIA: describe the process of feeding in planaria

-Planaria feeds on small worms, crustacean and on the dead bodies of larger organism
-It secrets sticky fluid which helps to entangle the prey
-A reversible pharynx protrudes and engulfs the prey
-The pumping activity of the pharynx breaks down the food into small particles, after secretion of enzymes for cellular digestion
-Absorption and digestion then occurs in the intestine
