NERVOUS TISSUE: what are nervous tissues?

-They are derived from  the embryonic mesoderm and is composed of neurons which are cells forming the structural and functional unit of the nervous system
-Nervous tissues transfer information from one part of the body to another
-They also contain receptors cells and are frequently escheathed by vascularized connective tissue
-Neurone, which consists of cell body with branching dendrites(which connects one neurone to another) and a long axon (which transmits to an organ or collects impulses from a sensory organ)
-The supporting tissues of the neurone is composed of neuroglia (which supports their loose connective tissues)
