Differences between pollination and fertilization

pollination is a process by which pollen grains from a male flower/anthers are transferred unto receptive stigma of a flower.
– basically, a physical process does not involve sexual recombination.
Fertilization on the other hand involves fusion of male and female nucleic/gametes
– A process of genetic recombination results in the formation of a diploid zygote
– zygote acquire characters of both male and female nucleic/gamete of parents.
