THE 1922 CLIFFORD CONSTITUTION IN NIGERIA WAS SIGNIFICANT IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS: 

  • The constitution introduced
    elective principle which for the first
    time allowed Nigerians to elect their representatives into the legislative council
