Baldness: what is baldness

Baldness results in peeling of hair or thinning of hair
It is a sex linked character caused by a recessive allele on the X-chromosome
It is expressed in the male but rare in females
It is an inheritable sex-linked character or trait usually transmited from mother to son. It’s also caused by mutation.
It must be expressed in 2 recessive forms before I can be manifested phenotypically in female offspring.
5 genotypes are present namely; XbX, XX, XbY, XY and XbXb  i.e normal female carrier, normal female, bald(or affected) male, normal male and bald female respectively.
