reports to the general assembly about its activities. - He
handles the correspondence of the organisation. - He also
gives annual report to the General Assembly. - He also reports to
the General assembly on matters likely to threaten world peace and security. - He also engages on
tours and visits member country. The
Secretary General is appointed by the General Assembly
on the recommendation of the Security council. He is
appointed for a term of 4 years.
